KOT tear activist Boniface Mwangi apart for calling them Slaves

Activist Boniface Mwangi on Thursday found himself in a hard tussle with Kenyans on Twitter for saying that majority of the Kenyans are Slaves.

Boniface Mwangi’s post followed the recent failed demonstrations at Uhuru Park’s Freedom corner where a few Kenyans showed up for the protest against corruption among Kenyan leaders, dubbed the face of Corruption.

Mwangi argues that Kenyans are afraid of losing the title they have. He says even the poorest who have nothing to lose don’t protest, terming them as slaves.

“Majority of Kenyans are slaves. Kenya middle class endure abuse, mistreatment without protesting. They’re afraid of losing the little they have. Even the poorest who have nothing to lose don’t protest. #KenyaSlaves don’t protest against injustice, corruption, bad leadership etc,” he posted.

However, his post got KOT on the wrong side, who turn out to bash him. They argue that Mwangi was speaking just because his protests are commercialized.

They claim he has nothing to lose since he is paid by NGOs, has medical covers, medical evacuations etc unlike Kenyans who will lose lives, get injuries and lose jobs.

Here are some of the reactions.
