Has former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo finally joined DP Ruto’s camp?

This is the question a number of Kenyans have been asking since Kabogo accompanied DP William Ruto to Nakuru last weekend.

Kabogo has now come out to set the record straight and has claimed that he has not joined DP William Ruto’s camp.

The flamboyant Kabogo has stated that he is not a member of Ruto’s Tanga Tanga or the Kieleweke Group. He has instead said that he is an independent thinker who would not avoid a place or event simply because DP Ruto is present.

Kobogo’s latest revelations might come as a blow to the Tanga Tanga team that had earlier indicated that he had joined them and was ready to help push for a William Ruto Presidency.

On Saturday last week, Kabogo and Ruto even boarded the same chopper making many people imagine that they were now seeing eye to eye politically.

Kobogo has however revealed that he was in Molo not at the invite of DP William Ruto but that of the Area MP.

“I was not invited to Molo by the deputy president but by the area MP but since Dr Ruto was heading there, I asked for a lift and we went there using his chopper. Should I have failed to attend because Dr Ruto was going to the same function like what the Nakuru governor did?” Mr Kabogo posed.

It will be remembered that after loosing the Jubilee Party Nominations to current Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Kabogo and other leaders from Central Kenya were quick to blame DP William Ruto for their political downfall.

His recent dining with Ruto must therefore be a cause of concern for many of his followers and Kenyans at large who still remember how he told off Ruto that his 2022 support from the people of Central Kenya was not guarnateed.
