The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission under the leadership of Wafula Chebukati has entered an agreement with the media.
The IEBC joined the media in celebrating of the World Press Freedom Day and agreed on the partnership.
The Commission presented a paper on the nexus between media and elections.
IEBC pledged to continue partnering with media to enhance voter education .
Immaculate Kassait who represented the IEBC insisted on the need of the media taking a forefront in supplementing the Commission to ensure credibility.
“elections are too important to be left to the electoral body, the media has a role to play, there should be a symbiotic relationship for all stakeholders,” stated Kassait.
