Angry Kenyans on Twitter have called for the impeachment of Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, his arrest and Jailing.
This is after the Kiambu County boss appeared before the Senate Committee on Accounting.
This is after Kiambu County’s budget allocation for the year 2017/2018 shockeg many with several allocations to the matters not related with the County.
Kiambu financial statements for 2017/2018FY submitted before Senate committee indicate county allocated KSh 973M for coordination of State House functions, KSh 58M for South Sudan peace process, KSh 804M for free primary education.
Governor Waititu was at pains to explain allocations to matters unrelated to county. Kiambu has apparently allocated money to state house.
He has however denounced the allegations.
Angry Kenyans went on to react, regretting voting in Waititu. They argued that the Governor was looting money in Kiambu for his own personal developments. Some called for his impeachment and arrest.
