The ‘Takataka’ hitmaker, Alvindo’s manager, Krg The Don, has been in harsh terms with the Kenya Film Classification Board CEO, Ezekiel Mutua since the ban of Takataka song.

After Ezekiel summoning Alvindo to appear before KFCB, Don has responded through an affidavit. The affidavit read; “We act as Fast Cash Music Group Limited, who has placed on our hands the summons dated 18th April 2019 and wish to address you as here under;

That our client takes great exception to the abrasive tone of your aforesaid letter, which has condemned the song ‘Takataka’ summarily. That Fast Cash Music is a legal entity and has obtained all the requisite licenses to record, promote and edit music content at its registered office in Nairobi.

That Alvin Ngigi popularly known as Alvindo is among other aspiring musicians that our client is nurturing their talent.

That in an uncharacteristic manner, KFCB has usurped the powers and/or authority of other institutions to wit Performers Rights Society of Kenya, Kenya Association of Music Producers and Music Copyright Society of Kenya.

That Fast Cash Music Group Limited does not involve itself in the distribution of music content of any manner whatsoever howsoever.

For specificity, it has contacted Royal Media Services to distribute and/or disseminate the said artiste song on the online platform in compliance with media regulations and international protocols.

That it is instructive to note, music recording and production do not perse fall within your jurisdiction, hence the contention that the song ‘Takataka’ contravenes section 12[2] of the Films and Stage Plays Act is fallacious, to say the least.

That the song ‘Takataka’ is all about a lover lamenting over his personal tribulations with a specific woman. In essence, the persona in the said song is merely whining. Of note, the lyrics in the said song have neither degraded women or cast aspersions on the character of women wholesomely.”
