New Inspector General of National Police Service Hillary Mutyambai has toured and interacted with officers at GSU headquarters and Recce company on a familiarization tour.

Mutyambai has revealed he is here to take care of all officers as they provide safety and security to all.

“Let us share what we are going through to avoid what we have seen where sadly, officers have had to take away their lives,” he stated.

He has also revealed that he is personally on the case of Asbel Kiprop.

The three-time World 1,500 meters champion Asbel Kiprop took to social media, daring the National Police Service to sack him and withdraw his firearm before he uses it to “earn justice.”

Panic swept across the country on Saturday after the 29 year old athletics hero took to Twitter posting: “I pray to National Police Service to dismiss me now. Before I use their machinery to earn myself justice. Kindly. IAAF come take your medals. I don’t need any on my house wall”.

The tweet saw a team from the police service dispatched to track down Kiprop and disarm him amidst concern that he could put his threat into action.

“I am not going to look back as I have committed to fighting corruption from within. Join me in this war and together, we will make Kenya better,” Mutyambai further added.
