Chelsea Uses Trick to Convince Manchester United Transfer Target

Chelsea have reportedly told Lyon player Tanguy Ndombele to wait a year and sign for them.

With the current Chelsea form, they are in need of a sensational midfielder who can bring change to their mid, especially that Eden Hazard is focused on moving from Stamford Bridge.

The Lyon mid is among the most desired players in the market by many big clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

L’Equipe claims Manchester United have held talks with the midfielder, who Lyon value at around £80 million.

The Red Devils are struggling to convince Tanguy Ndombele to join them, and the Blues have attempted to hijack their move.

The France international has concerns over United’s little chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Chelsea are currently banned from signing any players for the next two windows, but the Stamford Bridge outfit are appealing the transfer ban handed down by Fifa.

It is unclear if Maurizio Sarri’s team will be successful in their appeal and Chelsea have moved to convince Tanguy Ndombele to spend another year in France before making the switch to west London.

Liverpool have also approached the midfielder, but their interest depends on outgoings at the club in the summer while Tanguy Ndombele is under contract until 2023 and French club’s president is confident in erupting a bidding war for the rising star.

It means that Chelsea are preparing for the exit of N’Golo Kante who has been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester City.
