Former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale is an angry man following news that police have arrested four people for stealing 10 crates of eggs worth Sh2,500 at Deputy President William Ruto’s farm in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County.

The four, two men and two women are currently being detained at Turbo Police Station for questioning as they await to be charged in court.

In an early morning tweet seen by the Kenyan Report correspondent, Khalwale expressed his displeasure and wondered how the suspects would manage to steal their eggs at a home that is supposed to be protected by police officers from the General Service Unit.

An irate Khalwale demanded a detailed explanation from the police as to why and how such thieves would break into the deputy president home and make away with eggs meant for Deputy President’s early morning visitors like himself.

“I am saddened by the news that four strangers broke into DP Ruto’s home and steal food meant for his early morning visitors like me despite the home being protected by GSU. Just how did it happen? Police must explain & provide enough security so that no one also steals his chicken” said Khalwale.

The infuriated former Kakamega senator who is upbeat by Ruto’s 2022 bid seemed to be blaming their opponents and vowed they will never allow anyone to interfere with the smooth running of Tanga Tanga campaigns that usually begin with early morning meetings and handout collection from Ruto’s homes.
