AFC Leopards looking for 3 points as they Host Bandari FC in Machakos

AFC Leopards head coach Andre Cassa Mbungo will be looking for improved performance when Ingwe hosts Bandari in Machakos on Sunday. AFC saw a win escape from their hands in midweek when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Kariobangi Sharks who scored a late goal.

The tactician who hopes to push Ingwe into the top five will hope his side learn from the loss and get back to winning ways against a tricky Bandari side that still has an outside chance of challenging for the KPL title.

Mbungo is confident that his AFC side is in a good way despite dropping late points and is optimistic he can guide them back to the top.

“I am happy with how we are continuing despite that we lost points that we should not have lost. But we will continue to work hard and keep getting the points. I trust in my team and I believe we can improve,” the tactician stated.

While AFC have been on an up and down, Bandari have been on a roll winning four of their last five matches, their only loss coming against leaders Gor Mahia who scored late to hit them 1-0 in midweek.

Leopards come into the game seething with revenge having been hit 4-1 in the first leg in Mombasa. Overall, it is always a see saw affair between these two sides with Bandari having a slight edge over the last 17 meetings.

The dockers have won six and drawn a similar number with the remaining five ending in favor of AFC.

AFC Leopards defender David Ochieng has revealed that the team has targeted a top-five finish in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) this season.
