FKF President Nick Mwendwa has gien anupdate on Harambee Stars preparations ahead of the African Cup of Nations tournament set to be held later this year. Speaking to a local TV station, the outspoken chairman revealed that a residential camp in Europe has already been paid for and players will start training in the venue next month.
“We have already paid for our residential camp in France which Kicks off on 31st May to 18th June. We expect all the foreign players to join camp directly from their teams after the end of their respective seasons,” Mwendwa said.
Mwendwa further refuted claims that they had secured a friendly clash with Madagascar but confirmed that they were in talks with various teams towards the same.
“We have not secured any friendly matches but we are still negotiating with a few teams and we should have a concrete answer by the end of Tuesday next week,” he said.
Stars are in group C of the continental showpiece together with Algeria, Senegal and
