Kenya national men football team Harambee Stars has secured a new kit deal with Italian sportswear Macron, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwahas confirmed.

Mwendwa confirmed that the kits will be available from Saturday 26 April though it was not clear if the same would be available for fans who would like to adorn the national team colors; the President confirming that the players will wear suits when they leave for Egypt.

“We have procured new kits with Macron for the national team and they will be available from tomorrow (Saturday). We will too be wearing suits when we leave for Egypt,” Mwendwa said in a local Tv show on Friday.

Since his arrival at the helm of the nation’s top football office, the teams under his reign has used Uhlsports kits with the designs changed over the years.

Mwendwa further asserted that there is an agreement in place in matters how bonuses will be paid and revealed that they had instituted measures to help with the sanitization of match-fixing this coming a day after former Harambee Stars defender George Owino was banned for ten years by FIFA.

“We will have 23 players for the tournament (AFCON) and as earlier agreed, anyone who makes the squad will earn Kshs. 750,000. We have instituted measures that involve players sensitization too to curb match-fixing,” he added.

Kenya is in Group C together with Algeria, Senegal and Tanzania.
