The king of bongo music, Ali Kiba, is well known for his great work in music. He never disappoints when it comes to releasing hit songs. Days after featuring Ommy Dimpoz and Cheed on ‘Rockstar’ song, he has released another hit.
In the new song ‘Mbio’, Kiba is crying out love life frustrations. The song
explains the feelings of a man who is still in love with his woman but unfortunately, the woman has fallen out of love with him.
Announcing the song, he explained that he wrote it 10 years ago. It is not clear why he has decided to release it now after such a long period. He said; “Single Alert!!! Allow me to introduce to you “MBIO”…..ngoma ambayo niliandika miaka 10 iliyopita nilipokwenda Oman 🇴🇲 kwa mara ya kwanza, miaka 10 baadae niliporudi Oman kwa ajili ya concert yangu kubwa at Intercontinental Hotel, I got inspired to finalise the song na kushoot Music Video in Muscat.

Kiba is married to a Kenyan girl from Mombasa Amina Khalef. They both met at Nairobi when she was a student at USIU and started dating. Amina was Kiba’s fan, as they got to know each other, they ended up together.
They wedded in a lavish wedding at Mombasa which was attended by ‘big named’ people, Mombasa governor, Ali Joho, included. They welcomed their first baby, making Kiba a father of four.
Kiba has three other kids with different baby mamas. During an interview, he opened up that he still takes care of his children even if he parted ways with their mothers. It is not clear whether his song is referring to his past relationships.
Is his marriage facing a dark spot? Having written the song ten years ago, why did he decide to release it now?
