Ruto’s ally becomes a philanthropist after saying no to harambees

The debate about politically sponsored harambees in churches have evoked a mixture of reactions from Kenyans and political leaders.

The church taking a step on politically sponsored harambees, in other words saying no to them was seen a means to cripple the Deputy President William Ruto’s tangatanga weekend missions.

But one of his closest ally Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen lifted the lid even further. According to Hon Kipchumba Murkomen all sinners should be banned from tithing, offering and all other church activities.

Back to philanthropy. Senator Kipchumba Murkomen is making the dreams of many young people of getting better education a reality.

Through his twitter handle, Senator Murkomen has confessed that he is in a welfare group supporting needy students.

This came after Students from Kenya School of Law raised concern over the high rate of drop outs due to lack of school fees.

But Hon Murkomen has stated that his initiative of helping the less fortunate in the society has gained shape with helping students from High School to higher levels of education.
