Royal family fans left guessing royal baby name after seeing watch engraving meant for the baby

Meghan Markle is set to give birth to their first royal baby with her husband, Prince Harry anytime in May.

The royal family has kept royal family fans waiting for long guessing the name, sex and even the possible time of delivery of the baby.

The Princess was not ready to keep the fans waiting as she went on Instagram to clear the air.

Posting a quote from an old interview, @harry_meghan_updates reminded followers that Meghan once revealed she planned to gift her daughter a Cartier watch she purchased after learning Suits had been commissioned for a third season.

And it seems the royal also revealed the potential name for her daughter – or at least the initials.

Speaking to HELLO in 2015, Meghan explained: “When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which, at the time, felt like such a milestone I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version [of the watch].

With Meghan revealing the £4,800 watch would be “to M.M” royal fans think this could indicate the royals will name their baby Mary – if it turns out to be a girl.

“In an interview before Harry, Meghan made an interesting point to one day give her Cartier watch to her daughter one day ‘From M.M to M.M’,” wrote the fan account.

“But of course one should consider Daddy’s opinion now.”

Alongside the quote, @harry_meghan_updates listed some other potential names, including Victoria, Elizabeth and Alice.

According to bookies, both Elizabeth and Diana are said to be favourite names for a baby girl, while Arthur and Edward are in the running for a baby boy.

Earlier today, Myka Meier, an etiquette expert, has revealed we might see Meghan choosing a name that reflects her love of Africa or American roots.

Myka Meier told Fabulous Digital that while the first name might be more traditional, we could see the couple being “playful” with the middle names.

She said: “In the wedding she had several nods to her American heritage and I think we will see the same with the baby.”
