Ulinzi Stars seal an early slim win to sink Vihiga United more into the relegation zone

The Kenya Premier League was on course today where Ulinzi Star eighth-placed Ulinzi entertained relegation-threatened and newcomers Vihiga Stars at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Ulinzi were on spot in the 11th minute after Vihiga keeper Levis Opiyo was forced to a fingertip save which resulted to a corner and Enosh was on hand to score his 14th of the season.

Birgen floated in the corner, which was met by Boraafya with a header and Mbongi controlled well to pick out Enosh who gave it a good hit past Levis in the 11th minute.

Amos Kigadi and Masinza combined efforts were not well utilised as the visitors went offensive in the 49th minute Masinza’s goal was disallowed for an offside.

On Sunday, Vihiga Star who hosted Mathare United wasted a chance to get a win against the street boys after the match ending at a 2-2 draw at their home ground with the visitors scoring at the last minutes of the match.

Vihiga who were promoted this season has had a shaky run in the league having lost their last four matches and drawn once.

On 29th Monday will entertain League leaders Gor Mahia while Vihiga United will face sugar millers, Sony Sugar in a bid to secure themselves from the relegation zone in a match that will kick of t 1 PM.
