Netizens lend a hand to Ruto’s message after the ‘ban’ of viral church Harambee

Deputy President, William Ruto has been on the receiving end over a period of time for the wrong and good reasons but one of those that which has found many talking is his church donations which many have linked to corruption.

A sizeable number of Kenyans on Twitter applauded Deputy President’s William Ruto’s message on Wednesday 24 April 2019 vowing to continue with his donations undeterred.

Today through his Twitter handle, the Deputy President, who has been on the spot for his huge contributions in church, said he and his team will continue to ‘worship Jehovah with our hearts and substance.’

“Since Sunday school we learned to kneel before and worship GOD that’s the ONLY reason we stand before men. We will continue to worship JEHOVAH with our hearts and substance. We are unashamed of our God & unapologetic of our faith. We are Christians first other titles after,” said Ruto.

The DP’s message comes days after Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit, leader of the Anglican Church of Kenya urged churches to stop ‘hyping’ the idea of guests of honour and harambee.

During his speech at the Serena Hotel on Tuesday, Sapit said that they (the church) have gone wrong by allowing corrupt leaders to contribute harambee money adding that it’s a way of sanitizing them.

On the same note, and in a reaction to the ‘ban’, Ruto’ confidant, Kipchumba Murkomen was fast enough to react saying sarcastically that it will be great to see the church ban offerings and tithes as well as donations from sinners n the church.
