It Was Very Good – Wolves Boss Nuno Hails Dominant Win Over Arsenal

Wolves boss Nuno has saluted his side’s 3-1 win over Arsenal at Molineux in a Premier League clash this evening.

Nuno’s side put in a dominant performance against the Gunners and took the lead when Ruben Neves scored from a free-kick 25 yards out in the 28th minute.

It was then 2-0 for the hosts nine minutes later when Matt Docherty scored with a header, leaving Arsenal reeling.

But Wolves had not finished and just before the half time whistle grabbed a third, following a good run from Diogo Jota and a finish which went under Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

Arsenal scored with a Sokratis header with ten minutes left, following a Granit Xhaka corner, but it was nothing more than a consolation.

For Nuno, his side produced a good display against an Arsenal team with quality.

The Wolves boss told the BBC: “It was very good, especially in the first half, but we conceded too much possession in the second.

“Arsenal have quality.

“They move the ball and keep it well and it’s hard to recover it.

“But until we conceded the goal we did not concede many chances.

“It was very good in the first half, very compact”, Nuno added.

The defeat has damaged Arsenal‘s top four hopes and they sit in fifth, one point behind fourth placed Chelsea.

Wolves are seventh.
