Former NASA strategist David Ndii seem to be growing tired of all the questions that are being directed to him by a number of Kenyans on social media with regards to Raila Odinga.

Raila Odinga’s trip to China alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta seem to have had more adverse effects on David Ndii more than it had on Raila and Uhuru.

David Ndii has time and again been put to task by Kenyans to explain why Raila Odinga has suddenly changed and why he is now being used as a puppet by the government.

The issue of the SGR loan that is being sought by both Raila and Uhuru has particularly been directed to Mr. Ndii with a number of Kenyans asking him if he advised NASA bigwigs about SGR with all the statistics he gave sometime back.

In his defence, Ndii said that: “In politics its normal to disagree in principle on some things, work together on things you agree. We share political vision. We don’t agree on mega-infrastructure (thats how we ended up with 2 manifestos). Raila is also pro “clean coal” and I am totally against coal.”

When the questions got too much, Ndii responded that he is Not Raila’s Keeper.

In an interview with a Local TV Station, David Ndii said that for the SGR project to pay its debts, it needs to run more than 50 trains a day which is impossible.

The over Three hundred billion shillings borrowed for the first phase of the SGR is the biggest loan Kenya has ever borrowed to date. It increased our external debt by close to one third, our debt to GDP ratio by nine percentage points and our interest payments on external debt by 50 per cent.

The annual repayment of the principal amount translates to over Sh600 million per county.

With the above stats, Kenyan have every right to be worried as Raila and Uhuru join hands to source for another mega loan for the 2nd Phase of the SGR.

Given that David Ndii is an economist, a former NASA strategist and a percieved good friend of Raila, Kenyans found it wise to ask him all the disturbing questions.

He would however get fed up, just like Kenyans are fed up with this whole loan parade.
