The late Ruge Mutahaba was laid to rest on early March. He was a well-known music promoter and Clouds Media Group Tanzania programmes director. His send-off ceremony was attended by many celebrities, Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli included.
Being a great influence on the media industry, many artistes were in attendance. However, it was said that the Wasafi crew didn’t attend but rather sent Harmonize to represent them. They only attended the memorial service.
The Wasafi boss, Diamond Platnumz, was mocked by his fans for not celebrating the life of the late Mutahaba. As all the artistes shared the tributes of him on their social media but Diamond did not.
During an interview, Dimond was asked as to why he was so cold during the send-off of Mutahaba comparing that he shared a photo of Ommy Dimpoz when he was unwell and yet they both don’t get along.
Diamond said that he had had issues with Mutahaba when he was alive and feared to attend his burial since he thought he will be viewed as a snitch. Though being at Zanzibar at that particular time, he still managed to attend, though late.
On arrival, he was prevented from getting into the venue since there were proceedings which he was not supposed to interrupt. He later left without getting into the venue hence Mutahaba’s family complaining that he was disrespectful since he didn’t even inform them when leaving.
