Faustina Charles Mfinanga popularly known as Nandy is a Bongo artiste singing R$B genre.
She was born in 1992 November at Mawenzi, Moshi in Tanzania to Mary and Charles Mfinanga.
She started off singing at the age of 5 in Sunday school in her home area.
Her career picked up after she mate the late Ruge Mutahaba, who she mourns until today.
Her appearance in Tecno Own Stage in 2016 was a success as this was a breakthrough in the media industry.
She came second in the highly contested competition between Tanzania, Kenya and Tanzania.
Kenya’s Pascal Tokodi came in third in the Tecno Own Stage competition behind Nigeria’s artiste.
Nandy later released her first ever single dubbed Kugusagusa in July of 2016 and it topped charts for a long time.
Since then, she has never looked back and has proved that she is really talented.
In 2017, she as nominated in All Africa Music Awards and she won. The same year, she had a chance to feature in Coke Studio Africa.
With her good work, she has earned endorsements from companies and she is currently the ambassador for UNICEF’s water, sanitation and hygiene programme (WASH) which is a UN program aimed at improving water and sanitation services, as well as basic hygiene practices.
She made headlines in 2018 alongside Diamond Platinumz for sharing illicit videos online, charges were later dropped.
She has worked with Kenyan ‘Gospel’ artiste Willy Paul and produced two East Africa’s hit songs.
