Murkomen reveals his unknown handshake dream

The art of words in politics has not only seen the Deputy president William Ruto getting himself embroiled in Luo profiling scandal but is now also leading to confusion in the standing of his close political ally Murkomen Kipchumba.

Anglican Church lead Arch-Bishop Ole Sapit has warned against sanitizing proceeds of corruption. Intentions to review the holding of politician-led harambees in its sanctuaries have also been reported.

To the news, Elgeyo Senator Murkomen Kipchumba who has off late been posting lots of scriptures on his social media wall has reacted.

He has ironically responded saying it will be great to see churches ban all harambees in church adding that it will be even greater to see them ban sinners from contributing tithes, offerings and Harambee donations in church.

“Maybe then we shall truly say we are in Canaan or better still heaven on earth! ,” he finished his tweet.

Awhile back opposition leader Raila Odinga revived the “journey to Canaan” narrative stating that the handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta was still in line with the end goal.

The former Prime Minister revealed that the select committee set up for the Building Bridges project was already meeting to pave the way for its realization.

In his Easter Sunday message at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi, he said the church is deeply concerned about the mega-corruption cases reported by the media and the Auditor-General’s report, touching on both the county and national governments.

He asked all agencies charged with fighting graft to carry out their responsibility with diligence, promptness, and impartiality.

“The Auditor-General’s report has documented massive misuse of public resources, with minimal reports on the prosecution of the culprits.

“We further demand that corruption cases are expedited and those found culpable to be brought to book,” the top cleric said, adding that the vice has adversely affected Kenyans through the deterioration of public services and quality of life.
