Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has in a rare twist ironically betrayed the Deputy President William Ruto.
According to Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who adds up as a close associate to DP Ruto all church harambees should be banned.
DP Ruto is the one who has in more than one occasion justified his generous act of giving through church harambees. Just recently DP Ruto even quoted a non-existing Bible Verse to justify his donations to the church.
But according to Murkomen, all churches should ban all politically sponsored harambees, in addition he also suggest that all churches should ban all sinners from contributing tithes and offerings.
Senator Murkomen thinks if the churches adopt this policy we shall see a heaven on earth.
This reaction from Senator Murkomen comes as Anglican church has opened reviews into politically sponsored Harambees.
Archbishop Jackson ole Sapit has also warned the anglican church leaders from sanitizing proceeds of corruption.
More churches have in recent times taken a stand over politically sponsored harambees. This comes after a string of attacks from leaders who have blamed the church for allowing impunity to gain shape by turning the altars into political arenas.
