David Ndii proves that Kenya is a poor nation

How rich do you think Kenya is if we do not waste our resources and funds?

A social Media user quoted an old quote from the mother suggesting that a third of the budget is squandered through massive public funds theft so as to mean we generate enough income to call the state a rich nation.

Well, known economist, David Ndii was quick to correct the perception that the country is rich stating that domestic revenue cannot sustain the scale of plunder in the country right now.

He clarified that the stolen money by officials is usually borrowed meaning our taxes will repay the debts over the next 20 years or so.

Meanwhile, in real graft war proceeding on, former National Lands Commission Muhammad Swazuri has been released on Sh12 million cash bail or alternative bond of Sh30 million.

The former NLC chair was arrested last Wednesday over allegations of irregular land compensation.

DPP Noordin Haji said he had sufficient evidence to charge Swazuri and 23 others over compensation claim to Tornado Carriers Limited in respect to compulsory acquisition of land referenced MN/VI/3810.
