Why Pogba, Martial, Degea should be sold -Man United legend

Manchester United players displayed a lackluster performance in the 4-0 defeat to Everton with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher noting that the club should do away with Paul Pogba, David De Gea and Anthony Martial.

United have suffered a slump in recent weeks losing six out of their last eight games after a perfect start to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign at Old Trafford.

De Gea has long been linked with a move away from the club and the noise has grown louder as his contract is set to expire at the end of next season. Pogba’s long-term future at the club is in doubt amid links with Real Madrid, though Martial did sign a new contract earlier this year.

Speaking while in a Sky Sports show, Carragher revealed the three players that United should get rid of, “Yes without a doubt [the players are responsible]. I think we’ve all been critical of Man United at the start of the season, they should have been doing better.

“And I think a lot of things we said were brought back up in this great run, a lot of times I was pulled up on social media by United fans, things that have been said about Pogba or different players. They’ve been here a long time and the fact that Solskjaer is now coming out and questioning players and the same names are coming up, Pogba, Martial, the same players all the time.

“I think that about some of the United players. It feels like De Gea’s messing around with his contract, Pogba’s the same, maybe Martial’s just signed one. This idea that these players can’t leave your club and it will all fall apart – it’s Man United, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and you’re not exactly pulling up trees with them anyway.”
