‘Everyone knows who they are’ Neville slams Man Utd players

It was such a Horrific display from the Red Devils and Gary Neville thinks Manchester United should get rid of any player this summer that falls below a certain “standard of work ethic”.

On Sunday, United succumbed to a sixth defeat in their last eight matches as goals from Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott handed Everton a convincing and deserved 4-0 win.

When asked on Sky Sports by presenter Dave Jones if Paul Pogba was a player that United needed to sell, Neville replied: “I don’t need to name names Dave everyone knows who they are. they are in the newspapers every day they are on social media

“He’ll deal with them. Every single player who does not have the attitude. Forget talent. I’ve fallen into the trap over the last 18 months of talking about ‘oh they’ve got potential and talent’.’

“Forget it. If they don’t work hard and haven’t got the attitude to run around in that shirt then get rid of them.

“I’m watching players out here for Liverpool and Man City and they are working their absolute backsides off and I’m watching Man Utd players walk around, saunter around jogging back.

“I saw it in Barcelona the other night in the Nou Camp. I don’t mind losing games or conceding or giving passes away but you do not drop below the standard of work ethic that is expected at that club.

“They are falling below it. We got a bit of bounce when Ole came back into the club and everyone was blaming Mourinho. He is one of the most successful managers of the last 20 years and he lost faith in those players.

“I would imagine the more Ole looks at those players now the more he will be losing faith in them. They are letting him down and the club down.”
