The Takataka hit made headlines last week after moral police Kenya Film and Classification (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua banned it.

During the ban, the song was already at one million views on Youtube and the ban even escalated the views by 96,000 views.

Mutua was criticized by netizens for killing talent instead of helping shape it.

The KFCB boss said that the song signaled a bad gesture to women in a way of punishing them if a relationship fails.

This follows the recent death of Ivy Wangechi, a 6th-year medicine student at Moi University, who was ‘axed’ by alleged boyfriend.

However, netizens were agitated that the song was banned three months later having made rounds in every club and even radio stations.

The manager, KRG The Don, of Alvindo the hitmaker, defied the order of Mutua and has released the video of Takataka.

The audio was yanked from Youtube last week.

The video features comedian Butita, Dj Shiti, and Shaniqwa.
