Obama Weighs in Heavily on Sri Lanka Stand-Off

Former US President President meddled into the carnage witnessed in Sri Lanka on Sunday after multiple attacks rocked the country claiming more than 200 lives.

AS President of the United States of America, Obama managed to track and neutralize then Al-Qaeda’s most brutal leader Osama bin Laden.

In a well coordinated attack, the American Navy SEALs cornered the American-trained Jihadist and killed him, receiving international praise.

Sri Lanka Crisis

In his Twitter post, former President Barack Obama said:


The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity. On a day devoted to love, redemption, and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka.

Obama was joined by other world leaders including the Pope in condemning the terrorist act which claimed lives of more than 200 people.

The government of Sri Lanka went ahead to shut down social media after the string of attacks went out of hand.

Amid the increasing attacks, the government switched off social media in the country with a view to dispelling panic attacks in the citizenry.

The country only witnessed attacks of this magnitude some 26 years ago in the battle against Tamil Tiger fighters.
