Uganda’s legendary singer Jose Chameleone has refuted word making round that city events promoter Balaam Barugahara will be funding his Kampala Lordmayorship campaigns.

The Leone Island Music Empire boss while in an interview stated that no one is going to fund his campaigns.

He went on to confirm his stand that he will be contesting as an independent and does not need Balaam to fund him because he has got enough resources.

The Ugandan star was speaking during an interview on NBS TV’s Uncutshow.

He also assured his fans that he only deals with Balaam during times of staging his concerts because he believes that he always brings out the best as he wants it.

The video is in Luganda language and here is part of the translation;

I don’t know what exactly Balaam said but no one is funding any of my projects. I’ve been working for years and I have my own money so I don’t need a fundraiser to convince my people that I can lead them.

Chameleone confirmed on early April that fans pushed him to run for mayorship in the coming general elections.
