Deputy President William Ruto took some time to eulogize slain Moi University Student Medical Student Ivy Wangeci.

Speaking at a church function at the African Independent Pentecostal Church (AIPCA) in Muthuaini , Nyeri County, the Deputy President asked parents to be talking to their children so that we can avoid the current murders being witnessed across the country.
“I want to ask the church to pray for this generation. So that our young men and women can be measured in what they do. So that they can be protected from all the evil designs that are going on around them.” Ruto said.
Ivy Wangeci was laid to rest in at her grandfather’s home in Mahiga Location, Othaya Constituency on Thursday. More than 2000 people attended the emotional burial.
Until her demise, the deceased was a 6th year medical university student at Moi University.
Ivy was hacked to death in the most macabre murders in recent history, after her boyfriend, Naftali Kinuthia used an axe to kill her.
Naftali, had driven all the way from Nairobi to Eldoret to commit the heinous crime.
Preliminary investigations have indicated that the murder had everything to do with love.
Ivy, is not the first person to die in a love related issue. Already their are calls to find the solution to this problem.
