Good Man Oparanya Lands With More Goodies at Quintuplets’ Mother Burial

Everyline Namukhula, the famous Kakamega Quintuplets mother and her two infants were finally laid to rest at a burial ceremony in Sisokhe, Bunyala West Ward, Navakholo Sub county in Kakamega County.

Thousands of mourners thronged Sisokhe village to pay their final respects to Namukhula and her infants.

The burial ceremony was centered along a number of Luhyia traditions with Namukhula’s husband not even allowed to move near her casket nor Euologize her fallen wife.

Among those who attended the burial ceremony was Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

Oparanya expressed his condolences to the family saying it was a big loss to the county, terming the burial a ‘county funeral’.

In his address, the governor said he will ensure that the welfare of the children is well-taken care of.

“Yale tumeamua kwa haraka nikuhakikisha tumelinda hawa watoto kwa mwaka moja na nusu. Tutagharamia maziwa na wale ambao watakua wanawaangalia tutawalipa (Our immediate resolve is to ensure that in the next one and half years, we will cater for food expenses of Namukhala’s children and pay those who will be taking care of them),” said Oparanya.

He said the county government of Kakamega is currently completing the construction of a bigger house that will shelter the family of the deceased and the babysitters.

The Council of Governors chair also promised to incorporate Nazushi in the county youth programme that will see him earn income to support his young family.

“These children are ours, our responsibility as a county government, is to take care of them,” said Oparanya.The county boss, however, cautioned those seeking personal benefits by pretending to be helping the deceased’s family saying anyone looking forward to helping the family should be genuine.
