Chudasama, Cherotich in super shot victories

Shooting sport is not so popular among many Kenyans but the sport is slowly gaining momentum after two Kenyans decided to give it the honour it deserves by elevating it to a higher level.

Para rifleman Bhaveet Chudasama and Marianne Cherotich beat a rich field of 21 to win the men and women’s categories of the monthly Air Pistol shooting competition held last weekend at the Kenya Regiment Rifle Club, Lang’ata.

Chudasama improved his March score (516) by carding 534 points at the indoor facility to floor top seeds Shitul Shah and Idris Kasmani. Once again the top spot proved elusive for the Kenya Shooting Sports Federation Air Weapon captain Shitul as Chudasama narrowly defeated him. The former finished second after raking in 531 points.
