Former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City star Michael Brown believes that the new stadium has come at a good time for the Lilywhites, and the confidence will be flowing when they meet the Sky Blues in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie this evening.
Mauricio Pochettino‘s men hold a slight advantage over Pep Guardiola‘s team, having won the first leg at their new stadium 1-0 last week.
Now they prepare to visit Manchester City’s home ground the Etihad Stadium as they look to secure passage through to the semi-final of Europe’s biggest tournament.
And Brown believes that Spurs are currently in a good place having just shifted to their new stadium and will have confidence flowing heading to the match away from home.
“I just think Spurs are in a good place at the moment”, Brown told his club’s official website.
“The stadium has come at a good time and confidence will be flowing.”
The 42-year-old also took time to heap praise on Tottenham star Heung-Min Son, who he believes is a proper team player.
“I love watching Son, I think he’s brilliant.
“I was asked what it is about Son on Five Live and I just explained how he can go both ways at such speed.
“You can’t shut him off right or left.
“He’s a wonderful player and a proper team player.”
Despite Tottenham taking an advantage into the second leg, Manchester City start as firm favourites to progress through to the last four.
