Why playing ‘Takataka’ song will lead you to prison

‘Play Kenya Music’ discussion has been a hot debate as Kenyans artistes feel their music is not getting full support compared to music from other countries. However, the upcoming artistes have been releasing music which is described as indicent and with no respect.

In prior to this,’Takataka’ hitmaker, Alvindo, is sad after his only single gets banned by the Kenya Film Classification Board CEO, Ezekiel Mutua.

Mutua revealed that The song ‘Takataka’ was not submitted to KFCB for examination and classification and contravenes Section 12 (2) of the Films and Stage Plays Act CAP 222.

He, therefore, termed the Broadcasting, exhibition, distribution (including online) or possession of this song as a criminal offense.
