The sour love stories never begin bitterly but rather just like novel tales. So how to many couples reach a point where they want slit each others throat?

While financial struggles and cheating are mostly predominant in this ugly wars, the case of the Kenyatta University who stabbed Pwani University girlfriend is uniquely different.

Naomi Chepkemoi, who is studying Public Health at Pwani University, was allegedly stabbed by Koech at her house in Mkwajuni village in the outskirts of Kilifi town.

Its reported that Koech seemed remorseful when talking to journalists said that he acted out of love for his wife and daughter. He asked the court to allow him to see his wife and daughter before his case commences.

“Before the case commences, I would like to be allowed to see my daughter and also my wife who is admitted at the hospital,” Koech said.

The suspect said that he was angered by Chepkemboi’s family barring him from accessing hand taking care of his child.

Chepkemoi was stabbed with a knife in the neck, breast, and back after the pair apparently argued over their child. Doctors said she is now out of danger but will remain under observation for some time.

Kilifi Senior Principal Magistrate Justus Kituku allowed the State to detain Nicholas Koech, 25, for eight more days to enable detectives to examine his mental state and investigate his telephone conversations prior to the attack on Sunday morning.
