Why the services of Busia people are likely to drop

The services people of Busia have been expecting from the Sospeter Ojamong-led County government are likely to drop.

This follows a recent revelation by one of the Members of County Assembly that the County government is already working with a budget of a deficit of Ksh 525 million.

MCA John Obwogo believes that this will make the services the People of Busia expects from them to drop.

The County governor is being followed by a graft case. It is alleged that on diverse dates between March 15 and September 25,2014, Mr Ojaamong and others conspired to defraud the county of this amount by entering an agreement for a feasibility study on solid waste management to be conducted.

Ojaamong is charged alongside Mr Yaite, Chief Finance Officer Leonard Obimbira, Head of Treasury Accounting Samuel Ombui, Allan Omachari and Edna Odhiambo.

The prosecution alleges that they engaged a foreign company to conduct a study that had not been budgeted for.
