On Sunday a middle-aged man was lynched in Naivasha after the body of a nine-year-old boy, who went missing on Saturday afternoon, was found inside his house.
Residents of Kinamba estate, Naivasha accused the deceased of sodomizing, killing and hiding the dead boy’s body under the bed.
One of the residents said the boy disappeared while he was delivering lunch to construction workers in the area.
Police watched as the angry mob demolished two houses belonging to the family.
The suspect was lynched after he attempted to stop them from torching his family’s house.
The suspect’s mother was rescued by police officers after she was also attacked by the mob when she attempted to rescue him.
The resident complained of increased cases of rape and robbery in the area.
Police have said investigation into the incident have commenced.
