Lawrence Cherono wins the historic Boston Marathon race, running for the first time

Lawrence Cherono, running in the Boston Marathon for the first time Monday, won the historic race with a time of 2 hours, 7 minutes and 40 seconds. On the women’s side, Worknesh Degefa, of Ethiopia, won with a time of 2 hours, 23 minutes, 29 seconds.

Kenyan Edna Kiplagat comes second in 2019 Boston Marathon as Ethiopian Worknesh Degefa clocks 2:23:30 to win the race.
