COTU secretary general mr Atwoli or prophet Atwoli as currently referred by team tanga-tanga has received the wrath of Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.
Atwoli had claimed that Ruto will never be the president of Kenya comes 2022.
Speaking in Mogotio, Baringo county on Saturday, Jumwa said if somebody feels competent for the presidential seat then they should appear in the ballot and Kenyans will vote.
Jumwa suggested that Atwoli should stop bashing leaders but instead contest for the presidency if he feels he is competent.
“You are saying Ruto will not be on the ballot if you feel ready then be on the ballot with William Ruto, Kenyans are always doing the voting,” Jumwa said.
Jumwa has been on the record for sometime now for defending the DP presidential ambition.
She was suspended by the ODM for disrespecting party leader Raila Odinga.
She stressed that they know Joho better and he might be talking out of influence.
Joho who had accompanied Atwoli in Lamu said thieves are thieves and only have one name. Joho seemed to hit at Ruto.
Atwoli said that Mombasa governor Hassan Joho is the suitable candidate to succeed president Uhuru.
He said since the deaths of prominent coastal politicians -Shariff Nassir and Ronald Ngala, the region has not been able to raise their replacement until Joho came along.
Atwoli asked the coastal people and Kenyans as a whole to stand up and ensure Johi ascends to the presidency and forms the next government.
The COTU boss pledged to launch a campaign that will see Joho and other like-minded leaders win the next general elections.
“God has not slept since this region lost politicians and that is why he has brought forth Joho. He is fit to lead this country. If he runs for the presidency, he will win. Joho must form the next government because he has proved that he is capable,” said Atwoli.
National assembly majority leader Aden Duale also bashed Atwoli for his reckless utterances.
Duale requested Atwoli to respect other leaders for him to be respected.
“I would request Atwoli to respect other leaders for him to e respected,”he said.
