Former Man Utd manager, Alex Ferguson predicts EPL winner, the reason is weird

The EPL will soon be coming to an end with four games remaining to play while Manchester City has five of them to ply although they are seen to be the side with the hard ones unlike their competitors Liverpool who have four games to play.

Although Sir Alex Ferguson is not a manager at the moment in any club in England, it is a clear believe that he’s a great supporter of Manchester United who is a far distant fifth position above Arsenal who is yet to play today.

The legendary manager believes Liverpool will win a first Premier League title this season, according to Jonathan Walters.

And the reason he thinks the Reds will beat Manchester City to the trophy is that he’s convinced his former club Manchester United will get something out of the derby later this month.

Former Republic of Ireland international Walters was talking on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast when he named-dropped Ferguson.

He claims he was speaking to Phil Bardsley, who he played alongside at Burnley, about the title race when he mentioned Ferguson’s thoughts on Liverpool and Manchester City’s run-in.

“I was chatting with Phil Bardsley, and I’m going to drop a name here, he was sat with Sir Alex Ferguson,” said Walters.

“He sat with him and he thinks Liverpool are going to win it. He thinks Liverpool because he thinks United will get something out of the City game.”

Liverpool has just four fixtures left to play this season, with the hardest of these coming away at Newcastle.

City, on the other hand, have five fixtures left to play and have to take on top-four candidates Tottenham as well as the aforementioned United.
