Easter is coming, kuna wale wataenda Ocha na kuna wale watabaki. What is most important is that Easter is a day of merrymaking regardless of religion or denomination. Food will be the main theme this coming weekend and seeing friends and relatives the second. This is Kenya and when the relatives or friends with children come knocking, beware of the children who are always on the lookout for games in your phone.
This is Kenya and chicken will be in the menu and it will be mainly featured in our stews. Please I beg of you, kama uko game kwa simu, tupatie watoto wetu wacheze nazo otherwise……wataanza kucheza na livestock…hehehe!
Let us also remember our aunties who will visit us from shaggz, they put such an effort to doll themselves up in their best attire just to visit you. wakipiga simu wakuambie wamefika kwa stage, waendee and do not forget to proudly hug them.
Those who will be at home with your parents in the preparation of Easter, I feel you meen! Coz I know the pressure that Easter plus parents at home comes with it. You finish one chore and another pops up real quick. I cannot wait for my children to grow u to the teenage years so that I can heckle them around the compound.
It is also necessary to remind all of you that you have to carry your I.D with you at all times coz you might encounter savage girls at the M-Pesa kiosks who do not give a hoot about your emergency excuses. This Easter, carry you I.D at all times coz you do not know which fool might send money wrongly to your phone number and you need to withdraw it pronto!
There are those quirks of course that we shall come across this Easter…those who have cars tucked away and they unleash them just for show. Beware of them for they shall litter the church car packs with their cars.
On to a religious note kidogo; can you imagine the confusion that gripped the guards when they found out that the Messiah’s body was missing from the tomb?
Or the quirky businessman who was ready to do any mob business at that that time. If he was from Githurai they dude could have announced a tomb for sale….pronto!
In conclusion….since Jesus was not from Githurai, I tend to imagine that he was a cool guy with a cool demeanour. But if he was from Githurai! Huyo jamaa angekuwa na savage replies to everything…hata sheito hangekuwa spared!
