Bobi Wine’s party has faced a big blow after its candidate was terribly defeated.
Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) candidate Johnson
Noowe defeated other four candidates in the highly competitive race.
He emerged the winner after getting 1400 votes followed by National Resistance Movement (NRM)’s Oyet Samuel Agwan with 800 votes.
Bobi Wine’s candidate Imuran Ntambaz came in the third place with People Power with 300 votes.
He is succeeding Joseph Mbaziira the outgoing Guild President who also subscribes to FDC.
This is the first guild race People Power has so far lost in the ongoing Universities elections in the country.
The elections had been earlier postponed after people’s power candidate was locked out of the race and he sought court help.
