Inside Unai Emery’s message to Aaron Ramsey as the star nears his moving out

Given a chance, Arsenal manager, Unai Emery would want to keep his Welsh player, Aaron Ramsey for the sole reason of his improvement and play that the star has shown in the recent matches.

Unai Emery wants the ‘amazing’ Aaron Ramsey to end his Arsenal career on a high either t the club or even at Juventus where he is said to be going.

The Welshman will join Juventus in the summer after the Gunners withdrew their offer of a new deal earlier in the season.

But despite knowing he was on his way for several months he has continued to perform and was the man of the match against Napoli on Thursday.

Emery, whose side face a trip to Watford tomorrow, said: “It’s not easy for him after he signed for Juventus but his focus is to help us and his attitude is a very amazing attitude towards each training session.

“I continued speaking with him about doing something very important in the last matches here in two competitions that are very important for us.

“He wants to do something important for the supporters and I want to do something important with for him in his last matches here.”

The Gunners are still pushing for a top-four finish despite winning just five of their 15 away games this season and Emery insists their league position means there cannot be a psychological problem.

He added: “We are showing we are competitive and have a good mentality.

“At Watford, we need to be defensively hard and strong, like we are at home now, and in the attacking moments to use the best opportunities to find chances to score.”
