DP William Ruto’s name will not be on the ballot in 2022. This is according to COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
Atwoli is so confident about this that he told Lamu residents to take the message to the bank, though he didn’t specify which bank. It could be Barclays Bank.
“William Ruto will not be on the ballot in 2022. Take this to the bank” Atwoli told Lamu resident amid cheers.
He said that these are not his words but the words of God. In a fundraiser that was attended by among others Governor Hassan Joho and MP Mishi Mboko, Atwoli said God cannot allow Ruto to be President.
He accused Ruto of stealing from the poor among other things.
“Wamuita Raila Odinga Mganga. Wamuelekezea mambo ya uongo, ya kwamba alikutafuta na hakukutafuta na wewe ni mtoto mdogo.”
Hearing Atwoli, you would think he was cursing the DP.
He said that, Kenyans were going to have a referendum which would change the constitution and introduce the post of Prime Minister and Deputy PM.
“Referendum inakuja mwaka huu ama mapema mwaka ujao na kutakuwa na nafasi tele.”
Atwoli also accused Ruto of exploiting employees at his Weston Hotel where all people are employed as casuals and no one earns more than sh. 20,000.
Some Kenyans are however questioning the source of Atwoli’s 2million contribution he gave at the fundraiser.
