What!couple changes wedding location to keep off former spouses

Drama ensued at Global Apostolic Missions Church in Mombasa county when a former spouse to the groom and an ex-husband to the bride arrived at the church with the intention of stopping the wedding.

The couple had reportedly changed the venue of their nuptials from a previously undisclosed location to the church in an attempt to evade their exes, but it proved an exercise in futility.

According to KTN News, church members closed the doors and allowed the wedding to continue claiming it was only for the few invited guests.

The two were forced to watch the proceedings from the church windows as their former partners exchanged vows.

“We got married in 2005, we have sired three kids and we have stayed together for over 12 years…all I wanted is for the wedding to be stopped we sort out the issue of educating the children because it’s becoming a challenge to me” said Sheilah Robina, the estranged wife to the groom.

Human rights activists and police who were called to help calm the situation turned out to be helpless as Robina only had birth certificates of their children and no marriage documents as they had married traditionally.

Police advised her to seek reprieve from the children’s department to ensure her alleged husband looked after their children.

The bride’s former lover, upon identifying himself, kept a low-profile and refused to be interviewed by the media opting to just watch in shock as the mother to his children wedded another man.
