Kenya not spared in Trump’s ‘disciplinary’ action against Uganda

Kenya and Uganda have featured in the United States’ list of 35 Countries
featuring kidnappings as a potential danger.

This follows a recent warning by President Donald Trump that should Uganda fail to bring the kidnappers of the American tourist to book, it will be considered unsafe for traveling.

The US government has in turn updated travel advisories for a number of Countries, in which they have advised their citizens to be extra cautious.

With Kenya, the US government their citizens to exercise caution due to crime, terrorism and kidnapping. The government also says some areas in Kenya have increased risk.

Citizens have been cautioned not to travel to Kenya-Somalia border and some Coastal area due to terrorism.

They have also been cautioned not to travel to Turkana County due to increased crime.

They have further been asked to reconsider traveling to Nairobi neighborhoods of Eastleigh and Kibera at all times.
