Do you remember the Ambira Boys High school students were caught on camera insulting Matiang’i? Well do you remember how even President Uhuru Kenyatta spoke about it?
well, Oscar Sudi has just gotten away with something worse. The only punishment he received was a warning, not to repeat.
The Kapseret MP was captured on camera last month insulting the Luo Community, calling them children who cannot go into a war with Kalenjins.
But the NCIC, after summoning the politician, noted that Mr Sudi “owned up to the statements and apologised” and that “he has consequently been tweeting the apology for the same”.
The commission felt Mr Sudi was remorseful and therefore issued him with a cessation notice; a warning, or a “yellow card.”
But Kenyans cannot believe that Oscar Sudi can actually get away with such utterances.
I feel sorry for the people of Kapseret, who actually voted for a man with only a birth certificate and no history of education.
NCIC has now refused to crack the whip, but what will happen tomorrow if another person from a different community tries an Oscar Sudi challenge.
And will this man, Sudi ever trend for the right reasons? I mean, he has been on the negative for so long.
Some people believe it is time to disband this NCIC. We can’t pay people who don’t know what they are supposed to be doing.
In Kenya, politicians, tribal war mongers are not jailed. Oscar Sudi has just proved this.
I hope kitchen thieves will learn from this and know that they are not wanted here.
