Ruto: Uhuru will be Jubilee party leader even after retire

The Jubilee party is destined to serve generations and generations even after we retire from active politics.

While speaking on local television, deputy president William Ruto confirmed.

The DP said that the president Uhuru Kenyatta will be the party leader even after 2022 politics.

The deputy president noted that the party was formed to eliminate the tribal politics that had dominated the country.

The DP stated that Jubilee is intact and scoffed at those behind the ‘Stop Ruto movement’, calling them former ODM original members, sympathizers, and Jubilee party rejects.

On chances of being declared ‘Ruto Tosha’ by Mr. Kenyatta, the Jubilee Party presidential hopeful said the president will make his choice when the time comes.

The Jubilee Party constitution, he added, clearly states how a presidential candidate is chosen and there is nowhere they agreed with Mr Kenyatta that he will be the flagbearer.

He said President Kenyatta will not impose him on Jubilee members and will have to work hard to convince others to support his candidature.

“I will not in public want to tell my boss what to do. What I know is that the party headed by Kenyatta will have a presidential candidate in 2022 and that person is not necessarily me,” he said.

“I will present my papers the same as others and will support whoever the party will have chosen.”The DP noted.

He accused Murathe and Maina Kamanda of being used y section of the opposition to sell a false narrative that the party isn’t intact.

He said that he will remain in Jubilee no matter what comes adding that he isn’t ready to revamp his URP party.

“We merged 12 political parties URP being among them and there is no way I can revamp it,” he said.
