Eric Omondi introduces controversial Huduma namba in his stadium tour

Eric Omondi stadium tour is now taking a different direction after meeting government officials.

On Wednesday, Eric Omondi met with Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang‘i alongside NACADA director comedian Chipukeezy.

Eric Omondi last year introduced stadium tours in all the 48 counties in Kenya and has toured almost half so far.

In the meeting with Mr. Matiang’i, they discussed on matters government youth agenda and the controversial Huduma Namba.

The ongoing debate with whether to register or not has shaken the initiative and a section of opinion leaders and lawyers are urging Kenyans to boycott it.

The Kenya Human Right Commission (KHRC) took the government to court to stop the process saying that it is infringing citizens’ privacy and the fact that the government did not share information on the same.

The court gave the government a go-ahead to continue with the process but barred it from forcing citizens and not denying Kenyans services if they chose not to register.

The introduction of the Huduma Namba in comedy tour will be the first government initiative in Omondi’s career.
