DCI ready to interrogate Ivy Wangeci’s murderer

A lot has been said over the cause of the barbaric murder of the Moi University medical trainee at the Eldoret referral Hospital in broad daylight.

Her attacker allegedly hacked the woman on the head with an axe and then slit her neck with a knife.

He is said to have concealed the weapons in a gunny bag when he gained entry into the hospital. After the attack, he attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by members of the public and given serious mob justice.

Doctors have revealed that he suffered a skull fracture. Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital CEO Wilson Arwasa said this after Naftali Kinuthia underwent a CT scan on Wednesday.

He is recuperating at the hospital under tight security after he was attacked by a mob following the murder of the student.

His parents are said to have visited him on Wednesday morning alongside officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations office.

Reports indicate that police are camping at the facility in readiness to interrogate him over the incident.

A car believed to have been used by the attacker, a CV Honda with Reg. No. KCB 836P has also been seized.
