Apart from parents, the happiest people to celebrate childbirth are grandparents. Most children love their grandparents and vice verser however Baby Sussex will not be able to experience this kind of love.
According to the Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe, there is no hope of any reconciliation between the Duchess of Sussex and dad Thomas Markle and made the comments in a trailer for TLC’s upcoming show called Meghan and Harry: A Royal Baby Story
Meghan Markle’s dad Thomas will never meet his grandchild, a royal expert has claimed in an explosive new documentary.
Duncan Larcombe, who is a former royal editor of The Sun and author of Prince Harry : The Inside Story, has spoken out amid the bubbling tensions between the Duchess of Sussex and the 74-year-old retired television lighting director.
He made the comments in a preview for TLC’s upcoming show called Meghan and Harry: A Royal BabyStory, which is set to pull back the curtain on the couple’s impending bundle of joy.
Shutting down any hopes of a reconciliation between the pair, Duncan said: “I can’t think for a minute that Thomas Markle will be able to ever meet his grandson or granddaughter.”
The documentary will feature interviews from other experts and royal sources including Grant Harold, former butler to Prince Charles.
They will discuss the excitement of the first mixed raced and half American royal baby, the $200,000 baby shower as well as rumoured tensions between Meghan and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Meghan’s half-sister Samantha also features in the documentary and in the trailer takes a swipe at the Duchess for ‘playing victim’.
She says: “You can’t hurt people like this and then turn around and flip the script and play victim.”
Meanwhile Duncan’s comment will come as a bitter blow to Meghan’s dad.
As we reported earlier this week, he is said to be “clinging to hope” that she will reach out to him after the arrival of her first child.
According to a friend Thomas doesn’t now what else he can do to repair their relationship and hopes the duchess will decide to give him another change after the baby arrives.
The pal told the Express : “He’d give anything to meet the new arrival in person and hopes he can prove to his daughter that their relationship is worth a second chance and he should have a place in their lives.
“He is still clinging to the hope his daughter will call him at some stage to share her happiness.
“He has said, ‘What else can I do?’ He is bitterly upset by the thought of not being able to meet his new grandchild.
“He’d give anything to meet the new arrival in person and hopes he can prove to his daughter that their relationship is worth a second chance and he should have a place in their lives.”
The friend also revealed that Thomas plans to celebrate the birth with a few beers at his local beach bar.
They added: “He is genuinely thrilled that his daughter is expecting her first child later this month. He’s been looking around baby stores for an appropriate gift to send.
“He even joked that the new arrival was likely to be showered with expensive baby items from Tiffany……with a little ‘Welcome to Tijuana’ t-shirt from him in the middle.
“Joking aside though, the distance in miles and emotions between him and Meghan hasn’t stopped him feeling proud for her and his new grandchild. He aims to sink a couple of beers in his local bar when he or she is born.”
